Special issue onAdvanced Materials and Technology for Solar Energy

Summary and Scope

Solar energy is one of clean and renewable energies with great usages.Solar cells, solar absorber, photocatalytic nanomaterialsare the main directions in the field nowadays. Three topics abouthigh photovoltaic efficiency in perovskite materials, high-temperature stabilized spectral selective absorbing coatings, photocatalytic nano-semiconductors for hydrogen production and carbon sequestrationare attracting more and more attentions due to their fundamental theories and important applications. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are the most emerging photovoltaic technologies due to its super power conversion efficiency (PCE) above 25%. Also, solar spectral selective absorbing coatings are widely used in solar absorber for concentrated solar thermal power, which is required to have a high absorptivity in the solar spectral range and a low thermal emissivity. For concentrated solar power (CSP) project, high-temperature stability and long working lifetime of the coatings are seriously required. In addition, the study on air, water and environmental purification, hydrogen production and carbon reduction by photocatalytic effects is another hot topic for solar energy applications. More research activities and systematic investigation in this field would be invoked to clarify the fundamentals of the subject.

The journal is going to publish a special issue on the topic ofAdvanced Materials and Technology for Solar Energyin 2021.

太阳能是一种用途广泛的清洁、可再生能源。太阳能电池，太阳能吸收剂，光催化纳米材料是该领域的主要方向。高光电效率的钙钛矿材料，高温稳定的光谱选择性吸收涂层，用于制氢和固碳的光催化纳米半导体这三类因其理论和应用的重要性而受到越来越多的关注。钙钛矿太阳能电池（PSC）是热门的新兴光伏技术，因为其具有超高转换效率（PCE）（超过25％）。太阳光谱选择性吸收涂层被广泛用于太阳能吸收器中用以捕获太阳热能，其需要在太阳光谱范围内具有高吸收率和低热发射率。对于集中式太阳能（CSP）系统，非常需要涂层具有高温稳定性和长使用寿命。此外，通过光催化作用净化空气、水和环境，以及制氢和碳还原是太阳能应用的另一个热门话题。应该有更多的科研工作和系统性的研究投入到该领域以阐明基础原理。

因此，Journal of Materiomics将在2021年推出Advanced Materials and Technology for Solar Energy特刊。

The topics that thespecial issue will include, but not be limited to:

Solar spectral selective absorbing/ reflecting/ transmitting/ emitting surfaces, films and coatings;（太阳光谱选择性吸收/反射/透射/发射的表面，薄膜和涂层；）Perovskite solar cells (PSCs), including their fabrication, structures, mechanism, efficiency and stability etc.;（钙钛矿太阳能电池（PSC），包括其制备，结构，机理，效率和稳定性研究等；）Photocatalytic materials and technology for hydrogen production, carbon sequestration and environmental purification;（用于制氢，固碳和环境净化的光催化材料和技术；）New concept and design for solar energy applications.（太阳能应用的新概念和设计。）

Submission Guideline

Authors should prepare their manuscripts following the online submission page of Journal of Materiomics athttp://www.journals.elsevier.com/journal-of-materiomics. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed according to the journal reviewing procedures.
